We kept bumping into each other in the early days of university at the various Hip Hop shows in Southampton back when Nexus was open. It wasn’t long before our music collided.
Reeplay (aka Rich Watson) has just put out Big Dreamer EP. An epic collection of samples beats rhymes and melodies. So proud to feature.
I reckon she’s at her best with these upbeat numbers.

It was my first visit to the venue at the Pyramids in Portsmouth and my first impressions weren’t great. You can practically smell the swimming pool next door and the over heated dated room isn’t the most inspiring of places. I’m confused to why Bat for Lashes have picked this venue. None of this matters of course when the lights come down. Natasha Khan has a magical way of taking you far into a distant land even with the sea view backdrop not far off from the view outside. I was completely absorbed in her set and was not alone. She managed to silence the room with Laura and had everyone clapping and dancing for the Daniel finale. Her infectious smile and perfect vocals could turn any venue into a palace.
Off to see Phantogram play with Policia next Tuesday in Brighton.
Fuck yeah. This the best “I’m going to sprint the rest of the way” track I’ve heard in ages.
With the Bat for Lashes Album approaching I am very much in the frame of mind in which will fall for Hundred Waters. I have no idea who they are but Diagrams just shared this video and I’m in love.
This has put me in a very silly mood!
